Aim: This course

Course Duration: 4 Days
Course Content: Incident management First aider’s responsibilities
Documentation. Resuscitation. Unconsciousness. Choking. Head Injuries.
Wounds & Bleeding.
Shock Medical conditions. Fractures. Thermal Injuries.
Assessment/Certification: This course requires
each delegate to successfully complete practical assessments by 2 independent
assessors and a question paper. Following successful completion we
will issue an HSE approved certificate, which is valid for 3 years.

HSE Approved First Aid
at Work Refresher
Aim: This
course is designed to renew and update people who already hold an HSE First
Aid at Work certificate (from any approved provider)
Entry Requirements: Valid HSE First Aid Certificate

First aid at work – security
industry
Aim: This course is designed to train security personnel
in the indepth knowledge and skills of first aid should an emergency occur.
Entry requirements: none
Course duration: 5 days
Course content: First aid priorities, managing incidents,
basic life support, examination of a casualty, unconsciousness, control
of bleeding, fractures, common illness, penetrating and blunt trauma, burns
and scalds, heart attacks, eye injuries, dressings, regulations, recording
and reporting, first aid kits, specialist equipment.
Assessment: This course requires each delegate to successfully
complete practical assessments by 2 independent assessors and a question
paper. Following successful completion Amass medical and security services
under telemetric supervision of Aid Training and operations will issue
an HSE approved certificate, which is valid for 3 years.

First responder course
Aim: The aim of this course is to further the knowledge
and skills of the first aider, and to promote further understanding
of the patient and their condition.
Entry Requirements: An indate First Aid at work certificate
or equivalent.
Course duration: 5 days
Course content: Mechanism of injury, head injuries,
chest trauma, medical emergencies, shock, patient assessment, airway
management, abdominal trauma, spinal injuries/spinal immobilisation,
realistic scenarios, thermal trauma and oxygen therapy.
Assessment/certification: This course is continuously
monitored and assessed. This course is fully approved by the Royal College
of Surgeons. All assessment and certification will be undertaken by an
HSE, independent instructor/examiner

in order to act as an Appointed Person within the workplace.

Assessment/Certification: This course has a practical and theory
assessment to demonstrate competence. Following completion of the course
AMASS Medical and Security Services Ltd will issue a competent user certificate,
valid for 6 months (in accordance with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines).
NB: An AED competent user certificate is not a licence to use an AED. In
accordance with the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines a licence to
use an AED must be provided by the doctor in charge of the medically controlled
programme under which an AED can be used.
